I had someone call me the other day to ask if I am still photographing weddings (since I moved out of my studio space downtown)? Yes, absolutely, I just moved into a new studio space, that I have yet to officially announce! A few months ago, I moved into a much larger studio space at 2007 Yanceyville Street. The building that was until recently, the Nussbaum center (directly beside Revolution Mills). There are two large, beautiful photography studios in my building, one that belongs to Fabio Camera and the other to Stacey Van Berkel. Both whom have been in the building since those two spaces became studios for photographers years ago. Stacey is a commercial and lifestyle photographer and travels to New York for work quite frequently, while still shooting locally as well. I have always LOVED her studio space and over the years wished that I could work in a space just like it (I am sure I manifested the space with my subconscious vision board). Anyhow, long story short, I am sharing the space with two photographers, Stacey and Vada Dicey and it is just what I have envisioned! My clients are loving it so far as well. With the much larger space, more room for all, especially for a Children’s portraiture session. Children are free to move around and express their personalities during a session! There is a large dressing room and surround sound speakers that make an Original Sweetheart session that much more enjoyable and the natural window LIGHT, muuuaahh, a photographer’s dream (great for head shots and promo images).
SO YES! Still in business, still loving what I do, photographing weddings, babies, children, vintage style portraits (The Original Sweethearts), head shots and promotional photos for websites, books and more! I am also working on an exciting new project that I cannot share the details for as of yet. The topic surrounds women, inspiration, voice, transformation and healing (some spiritual heart centered work to go along with my “everyday work” of creating heart centered memories for all of my beautiful clients). Life is good and I am so grateful for all of my clients that support and entrust me to capture their most precious memories & tell their stories.
***Stay tuned, later this fall, a Children’s studio portraiture special promo will be listed on my site! Images from these sessions can be used for Holiday cards and I am starting sessions early this year in order to have images ready for Holiday cards and gifts. I will start reserving appointments when the promo is listed on my site, so please check back!
***My next blog post will feature some new images that were taken in the new studio, Erin & Tyson’s kitschy, fun, vintage style engagement shoot! LOVE IS CHEESY!!
